Guide books covering several walks of all levels. including Coastal path walks  with great views across Exmoor are available in the chalet.

Pubs and Cafes (within 45 mins walking distance)

Blue Anchor Bay has a nice café for coffees, breakfast and lunch. 

 

There are numerous pubs and restaurants in Minehead. 

 

Ship Aground – the staff were very friendly, and the food was good too.

 

The walk into Dunster takes about 35 minutes.  Its well sign posted.  There are several great places to eat in Dunster Village. 

Here are the ones we’ve tried in order of our most favorite to least:

  • Hathaway’s £££ – fabulous Italian Restaurant. They have a great wine list which is reasonable priced, and the food is amazing. Due to Covid, the numbers of tables are limited so booking days ahead is advised Tel:  01643 821 725

  • Reeves – £££ Fine dining Restaurant Tel: 01643 821414

  • The Stag’s Head ££ – friendly pub, The Sunday roast was great, quaint beer garden too. Tel: 01643 821229

  • The Luttrell Arms ££ – this place has been recommended by a few locals; it has a Lovely beer garden.  Tel: 01643 821555

  • The Ship Aground ££, friendly staff, good food, coffee and ales (would recommend the crab salad) Tel: 01643703516

  • Minehead – The Hairy dog £ - very spacious with big tv to watch sport Tel 01643 706317

Shopping

Minehead has a variety of shops in the town centre.   Dunster Village has a small number of nice gift shops.

 

Supermarkets

There’s a Tesco’s superstore, Morrison’s, Lidl and a Co-op in nearby Minehead

 

The on-site kiosk

The Kiosk sells some hot food and ice creams, they also sell a few items emergency supplies e.g. toothpaste, coffee, tea it’s near the main entrance usually open from 10 am – 16.00 pm daily
